Mini stroke? mild stroke? massive stroke? all sorts out there mate, a doctor is your best bet.

Stroke or TIA? Most people don't even know thye have TIA's
Stroke recovery times are very individual, based on age and how quickly they received medical attention but for most people a virtual full recovery is realistic these days.

All depends on the type and strength of the stroke. My nan had one, left her paralysed down one side.

Thanks got him to hos v quickly, almost walking, nerves coming back. Only 54 and yeah prob not best place to ask but I guess docs say prognosis good but also non committal. He's my hubby btw and so scary exp but just hoping for full recovery and prob posted as looking for reassurance.

Sounds like you saved him from the worst and he's well on his way back to recovery.
Like someone said if you catch it quickly these days most people fully recover.

Both my dad and my best mate had strokes recently (my fathers a lot older than your husband, my mate younger). Both fully recovered fairly rapidly. Best of luck with it.

54 and quick admittance should be a full recovery, given time. Good luck girl but the treatment these days is great and he should be fine.

Is now a good time to say he's a Chelsea fan. He's doing fine but frustrated. Thanks all for your positive thoughts, I thought strokes only happened to older people and he was also quite fit, which they said will go in his favour

Indeed. Given his age and his fitness levels, it's likely to be caused by incurring the wrath of God by being a Chelsea fan! :-)
He'll be fine.

When got to hos first, I wanted to check brain function so said U West Ham.. I knew by his response that was ok. But seriously if u ever notice change in body, u need to go to hospital. I made him go and so glad I did.
